Saint Joseph, Martyr of Grandeur

How often do we hear about Saint Joseph? I don't know about you, but I rarely do. He is a great Saint and as the foster father of Our Lord he deserves the most respect, devotion and honor. I am posting this wonderful article and I invite you to read it.

America Needs Fatima publishes new book

Fatima: A Message More Urgent Than Ever is the title of a new book just published by America Needs Fatima, a campaign of the American TFP. I just got my hands on a copy and look forward to reading it.

Given the tremendous chaos in our confused world, I believe the Fatima message continues to be most relevant, for it contains a solution for our times, and a promise of God's final victory over evil.

Prayer for Cuba's Victims of Communism at Memorial

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, many Americans seem to have forgotten that just 90 miles south of Florida is a communist gulag that continues to persecute its people. Every year thousands of Cubans brave the open sea on makeshift rafts trying to make it to Florida, risking their lives rather than remain in the “workers paradise.” Most of them either drown or, due to a change in policy under the Clinton administration, are picked up by the Coast Guard and promptly sent back. For many Cubans, the memory of 7-year-old Elian Gonzalez’s miraculous rescue and traumatic return to Cuba in 2000 is still fresh.

“Absolutely NO” to Jerry Springer Show

Despite rainy weather conditions, hundreds of outraged Catholics gathered in front of Carnegie Hall in Manhattan to pray and express their rejection over the blasphemous Jerry Springer: The Opera in Comedy. The peaceful protest was a response to the indecent show which attacks the honor and purity of Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I had the distinct honor of being present at the act of reparation. We prayed the Rosary, sung hymns, and hopefully "knocked" some sense into Carnegie Hall.

Update on 2,000 Rosary Rallies

Great news: I’m writing to tell you that the volunteer office of America Needs Fatima erupted with tremendous joy and applause on Friday when the number of Rosary Captains reached 2,000!

Let us thank Our Blessed Mother for this significant achievement and ask her to prepare our souls to worthily commemorate October 13. Thank you for dedicating your time and talent to honor Our Lady in such a special and public way. She is “our life, our sweetness, and our hope.” She will reward every Rosary Captain.

Banners ran out: Over 14,000 feet of banner material was printed and mailed free of charge. However, time constraints now prevent further shipments.

If you'd like to be a part of this historical event, write to studentaction@tfp.org

"When we speak the name of Mary, heaven becomes more beautiful, and earth rejoices. The demons are terrified, and vanish like dust in the wind."
~
Saint Francis of Assisi (1181 - 1226)

"We find ourselves on earth as in a tempestuous sea, a desert, and a vale of tears. But Mary is the Star of the Sea, the Solace of our desert, and the Light that guides us to heaven."
~
Saint John Bosco (1815 - 1888)
